Rings, bracelets, earrings, pendants, necklaces - for women and men - handcrafted, by us from a wide range of natural materials, using modern and ancient metalsmithing techniques.
OUR STORY
Over the past 46 years, we've been developing and learning to apply ancient and modern skills and techniques to the art and fabrication of jewelry.
From 1974-2000, we owned and operated an award-winning international jewelry and clothing boutique in San Francisco. The Jerusalem Shoppe became a Bay Area landmark. Known for its extraordinary selection of clothing, jewelry and accessories, it was originally named to reflect our hope that the city of Jerusalem become a model internatioal city, governed by an international/interfaith body, and open to worshippers of all faiths.
Through its 26 year history, JS won local and international recognition for its authentic and widely diverse collection of jewelry curated from all over the world. Showcasing over 400 local, national and international jewelry artisans, it was singled out as the Best Jewelry Store in the Bay Area by local, national and international media and by Bay Area publications (San Francisco Chronicle, Bay Guardian, and S.F.Weekly), and by national and international guidebooks to San Francisco (featured yearly in the well-known Frommer's Guide) as 1 of 5 must-see jewelry stores in the Bay Area.

OUR WORK
In San Diego for 18 years, our boutique days in San Francisco morphed into farmers market days in beautiful Southern California, and now into International craft shows, as well as farmers markets in the incomparable Finger Lakes region of upstate Western New York. Blending historic currents with contemporary trends in jewelry, our inspiration continues to give birth to a fascinating collection of handcrafted pieces, a timeless interpretation and fusion of all these diverse elements.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Our rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings, many of which are one-of-a-kind, are hand-fabricated by us, for women and men.
We work with a wide range of materials: precious and semi-precious metals, stones and pearls (many rare), leather, neoprene, glass and shells.
Our special techniques include ancient processes of metalwork from the Far East (Shakudo and Shibuichi from Japan and Kumbo from Korea); fusing of metals through a unique process that joins them together without the use of solder; alloying of metals (sterling, gold, bronze and copper); lapidary (cutting and polishing from rough stone); mining (some of the stones we work with have been mined by us (opal from the Nevada desert); mold-making for casting designs. All these, in addition to the usual techniques of silver- and gold-smithing: fabricating, stone setting, soldering, riveting, wire-wrapping, Kumbo, and assembly.
We make new designs every week. And we'll work with you to design custom pieces.
